Really enjoying Carne Griffiths work. Love his portraiture! He works with tea and inks. I enjoy the organic patterns, shapes, and textures he includes juxtaposed with the geometric shards. It definitely gives it a unique illustrative look. He has amazing attention to detail, and up close it's phenomenal. Excellent and unique technique. Really beautiful work!

Jennifer Hansen
Artist | Professional | Traditional Art
United States
Born in San Francisco, California in 1990, Jennifer Hansen studied at the Academy of Art and received her BFA of Fine Art in 2012. She had shown with the Napa Art Museum, 111 Minna Gallery, as well as many others throughout Sonoma and San Francisco. She has also been featured on Juxtapoz Latin America and Gallery Nucleus. Jennifer is also a member of Clique, a local emerging female artist group from SF.

At the age of nineteen she came to know Jesus Christ personally through a TV ministry preacher teaching through Matthew 27 on the resurrection of Christ. Hit hard with the gospel truth, Hansen saw herself a sinner in need of the forgiveness and grace of Jesus which brought her to her knees weeping. Constrained by Christ’s love, this is the fire that motivates her in her work to proclaim the good news; Christ died and rose again to save sinners, according to the scriptures.

Jennifer is currently working on two bodies of work entitled, “Solus Christus” and “Wasting Away”. She battled through depression, anger, and suicidal tendencies for many years until she came to Christ. Wasting away and being consumed are reoccurring themes prevalent throughout her painting to show the effects and consequences of sin. The paintings are done with graphite, charcoal, and many translucent layers of oil. They express the depravity of humans, destructive desires, and suffering in urban desolate environments, all of which point of the need of the Savior.

My perception on art changed because of you. I'm much of a younger artist than you and seeing all of your works made me very enlightened. Thank you...
